After train­ing at the Cours Flo­rent, Philip­pine Leroy-Beaulieu made her fea­ture film debut in Roger Vadim’s Sur­prise Par­ty (1983). Two years lat­er, she became wide­ly known for Col­ine Serreau’s com­e­dy Three Men and a Cra­dle, a role which earned her a Most Promis­ing Actress César nom­i­na­tion. She rejoined the direc­tor for The Green Plan­et (1996), as well as for the cult film’s sequel, 18 Years Lat­er (2003). Through­out her career, she has worked with renowned film­mak­ers: Andrzej Waj­da (The Pos­sessed, 1987), Philippe Le Guay (Les deux Frag­o­nards, 1989; L’Année Juli­ette, 1995), Philippe de Bro­ca (The Keys to Par­adise, 1991), Jean-Jacques Annaud (Two Broth­ers, 2004), Tran Anh Hung (Eter­ni­ty, 2016) and Jean-Paul Rou­ve (Lola & Her Broth­ers, 2018). She has also col­lab­o­rat­ed mul­ti­ple times with Amer­i­can film­mak­ers, includ­ing Richard T. Hef­fron (The French Rev­o­lu­tion, 1989), James Ivory (Jef­fer­son in Paris, 1995) and Alex Keshishi­an (Love and Oth­er Dis­as­ters, 2005). From 2015 to 2018, Philip­pine Leroy-Beaulieu played Cather­ine Barneville in the series Call My Agent! broad­cast on France 2. In 2020, she per­formed in Gabriel Le Bomin’s biopic De Gaulle, before becom­ing Sylvie Grateau in the Net­flix series Emi­ly in Paris, a role which she con­tin­ues to play. In 2022, she con­tin­ued her inter­na­tion­al tra­jec­to­ry by join­ing the cast of the series The Crown, also on Net­flix. This year, she plays Sarah Bern­hardt in Cédric Klapisch’s Colours of Time.
