Kelly Reichardt

Born in Flori­da, Kel­ly Reichardt stud­ied at the School of the Muse­um of Fine Arts in Boston. The vast Amer­i­can land­scapes, jour­ney nar­ra­tives and the paths of char­ac­ters left in the shad­ow of the Amer­i­can dream are cen­tral ele­ments of her cin­e­mat­ic uni­verse. She won the Grand Prize at Deauville in 2013 with her envi­ron­men­tal thriller Night Moves, and then the Jury Prize with First Cow in 2020. The Mas­ter­mind was pre­sent­ed in com­pe­ti­tion at the last Cannes Film Festival.
