Charlie McDowell

Char­lie McDow­ell direct­ed in 2014 his first fea­ture film The One I Love, which pre­miered at the Sun­dance Fes­ti­val. Three years lat­er, The Dis­cov­ery was like­wise select­ed at Sun­dance before being acquired by Net­flix, which also bought his next film Wind­fall in 2022. He also made some episodes of the series Sil­i­con Val­ley, Dear White Peo­ple, Tales from the Loop, Dis­patch­es from Else­where and On Becom­ing a God in Cen­tral Flori­da. The Sum­mer Book is based on a nov­el by Finnish writer Tove Jansson.
