Andy Garcia

Cuban-Amer­i­can actor, direc­tor, pro­duc­er and musi­cian Andy Gar­cia has worked with film­mak­ers includ­ing Bri­an De Pal­ma, Fran­cis Ford Cop­po­la, Ken­neth Branagh, Sid­ney Lumet, Steven Soder­bergh and Clint East­wood. Through his pro­duc­tion com­pa­ny Cine­Son Pro­duc­tions, he made his direc­to­r­i­al debut in 1993 with the musi­cal doc­u­men­tary Cachao… Como Su Rit­mo No Hay Dos. In 2005, he direct­ed, pro­duced, com­posed the score and starred in The Lost City. The Deauville Amer­i­can Film Fes­ti­val paid trib­ute to him in 2009. Dia­mond, his sec­ond nar­ra­tive fea­ture as a direc­tor, pre­miered at the last Cannes Film Festival.
