Marion Barbeau

Mar­i­on Bar­beau trained at the Paris Opera Bal­let School before join­ing the Paris Nation­al Opera Bal­let, where she per­forms as a soloist in major clas­si­cal and neo­clas­si­cal reper­toire works. She has par­tic­i­pat­ed in numer­ous pro­duc­tions and col­lab­o­rates with lead­ing chore­o­g­ra­phers such as Hofesh Shechter, Ohad Naharin, Sidi Lar­bi Cherkaoui and Ben­jamin Millepied. In 2020, Cédric Klapisch cast her in the lead role of Rise, a per­for­mance that earned her a César nom­i­na­tion for Most Promis­ing Actress. In 2024, she fur­ther advanced her film career with roles in Bap­tiste Debraux’s Un homme en fuite and Simon Bouisson’s Drone. This year, she stars in Yann Gozlan’s Guru with Pierre Niney, and Ley­la Bouzid’s dra­ma In a Whis­per, which debuted in com­pe­ti­tion at the Berlin Film Fes­ti­val. Along­side her work in film, Mar­i­on Bar­beau main­tains an artis­tic com­mit­ment to con­tem­po­rary dance and devel­ops per­son­al projects blend­ing dif­fer­ent disciplines.
