About

“There is a lot of freedom in constraints. When everything is possible, you eventually don’t do much.”

Born in Paris, Céleste Brunnquell began drama classes at age 11. In 2018, she was discovered during an acting session at the Théâtre de l’Atelier by director Sarah Suco, who casted her as the lead in her first feature film, The Dazzled (2019). Thanks to her lauded performance, she won the Youth Jury Award for Best Actress – the Golden Salamander – at the 28th edition of the Sarlat Film Festival. She was also nominated for the 2020 César Award for Most Promising Actress. She went on to perform in Arte series In Treatment, directed by Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache. She just finished filming Sébastien Marnier’s L’Origine du mal, and Les Clés de Jade, the directorial feature debut of Jeanne Aslan and Paul Saintillan.
