About

Fer­nan­do Eim­bcke stud­ied film at the Nation­al Autonomous Uni­ver­si­ty of Mex­i­co. In 2004, he wrote and direct­ed Duck Sea­son, which pre­miered at Cannes Crit­ics’ Week. His sec­ond fea­ture, Lake Tahoe, won the FIPRESCI Prize and the Alfred Bauer Prize at the 2008 Berli­nale. His film Club Sánd­wich received in 2013 the Best Direc­tor award at the San Sebastián Fes­ti­val and Best Film at the Tori­no Fes­ti­val. Olmo is his fourth feature.
