Jacques Loeuille



Born in 1983 in France, he studied at the fine-arts school of Nantes, at Concordia University in Montreal, and Le Fresnoy – National Studio for Contemporary Arts. He then made video installations, arts films, documentaries, and film essays, including portraits of artists such as painters Modigliani and Rubens, novelist Marguerite Yourcenar, and the pioneer of abstraction art Kupka. Birds of America is his feature-length documentary debut.
