Joshua Oppenheimer

Joshua Oppen­heimer’s work lies at the inter­sec­tion of fic­tion and doc­u­men­tary. His first fea­ture films — the musi­cal docu­fic­tion The Act of Killing and the doc­u­men­tary The Look of Silence, win­ner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Fes­ti­val — were nom­i­nat­ed for the Acad­e­my Awards in 2014 and 2016. The End is his first nar­ra­tive fea­ture film.
