Katharina Rivilis

Katha­ri­na Riv­ilis trained as an actress at the Kon­rad Wolf Film Uni­ver­si­ty of Babels­berg. She has since worked across the­atre, film and tele­vi­sion, both in Ger­many and inter­na­tion­al­ly. She lat­er turned to direct­ing and stud­ied at the Ger­man Film and Tele­vi­sion Acad­e­my Berlin (DFFB), where she made the short films Ari­ana For­ev­er! and Day X. In 2022, her short film Ron­do was pre­sent­ed at the Berli­nale. Inspired by her expe­ri­ence as an exchange stu­dent in New Mex­i­co, I’ll Be Gone in June is her debut fea­ture film.
