About

Amer­i­can direc­tor and screen­writer Lisa Cholo­denko direct­ed her first fea­ture, High Art, in 1998. Pre­sent­ed in the Direc­tors’ Fort­night at the Cannes Film Fes­ti­val, the film won the Wal­do Salt Screen­writ­ing Award at the Sun­dance Film Fes­ti­val as well as the Jury Prize at the Deauville Amer­i­can Film Fes­ti­val. Her work in both film and tele­vi­sion has since received recog­ni­tion at the Berlin Film Fes­ti­val, the Gold­en Globe Awards, the Inde­pen­dent Spir­it Awards and the Emmy Awards. She is cur­rent­ly writ­ing a US adap­ta­tion of Maren Ade’s Ger­man film Tony Erd­mann she will also direct.
