ActressAbout
Manon Clavel joined the Paris National Superior Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in 2016. Her star rose quickly on the stage, notably for her performance in Martin Crimp’s play The Country, directed by Sylvain Maurice at the Théâtre du Rond-Point, for which she earned a 2023 Molière nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Manon Clavel made her film debut in 2019 with Hirokazu Kore-eda’s The Truth, followed by Léonor Serraille’s Mother and Son, screened in competition at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Around this time, she participated in the international series Winter Palace, before being directed in films by Fabienne Godet, Isabelle Carré and Julien Gaspar-Oliveri. A wider audience discovered her in Kika, Alexe Poutine’s debut feature, presented at Cannes Critics’ Week, in which she played the title role. Her performance earned her this year a César Most Promising Actress nomination, as well as the Best Actress prize at the Brussels Film Festival. She recently finished filming Alaa Eddine Aljem’s El Dorado and Marion Desseigne-Ravel’s Une heure et demie en été.
