Pauline Loquès

After study­ing lit­er­a­ture and then law, Pauline Loquès sought to sat­is­fy her thirst for writ­ing through jour­nal­ism. For sev­er­al years, she worked as a writer for cul­tur­al tele­vi­sion pro­grams. At the age of 30, she decid­ed it was time to step out of the role of spec­ta­tor. Fol­low­ing screen­writ­ing train­ing, she chose for her first attempt to por­tray the lives of the young girls around her in La Vie de Jeune Fille (2018). After this short film — and still dri­ven by the same spir­it — she wrote and direct­ed Nino, her fea­ture debut.
