Orig­i­nal­ly from Texas, Richard Lin­klater is a direc­tor, screen­writer, and pro­duc­er. Since his debut fea­ture It’s Impos­si­ble to Learn to Plow by Read­ing Books (1988), he has explored both live-action film­mak­ing and roto­scop­ing. He won the Sil­ver Bear for Best Direc­tor at the Berlin Film Fes­ti­val twice, for Before Sun­rise (1995) and then Boy­hood (2014). Nou­velle Vague is pre­sent­ed in Com­pe­ti­tion at the last Cannes Film Festival.
