Wes Hurley

Born in Rus­sia, he direct­ed sev­er­al short films before mak­ing his first fea­ture film Wax­ie Moon in Fall­en Jew­el in 2015. He then wrote, pro­duced, and direct­ed two sea­sons of the crit­i­cal­ly acclaimed com­e­dy web-series Capi­tol Hill. In 2017, his auto­bi­o­graph­i­cal short film Lit­tle Pota­to won numer­ous awards includ­ing the Jury Prize at SXSW. In 2020, he par­tic­i­pat­ed in the col­lec­tive film New Queer Visions: See­ing is Believ­ing. Pota­to Dreams of Amer­i­ca, based on his child­hood, is his sec­ond fea­ture film.
