Synopsis

1980s, New Jer­sey. Worn down by an exhaust­ing dai­ly life and a trau­mat­ic past, Rita final­ly finds peace when she meets the fas­ci­nat­ing Ricky, the leader of a com­mu­ni­ty of women. Drawn in by their cult-like beliefs, Rita slow­ly gives in to their influ­ence. But when her two daugh­ters try to rea­son with her, Rita must choose between her new­found free­dom and the life she left behind.
