Re-live all the action of the open­ing cer­e­mo­ny in pic­tures! In last night’s pro­gramme: the screen­ing of the open­ing film, Tom Macarthy’s, STILLWATER, L’Heure de la Croisette, pre­sent­ed by Thier­ry Fré­maux, Del­e­gate-Gen­er­al of @festivaldecannes.
Guests on the red car­pet includ­ed : The Jury, presided over by Char­lotte Gains­bourg and com­posed of Bertrand Bonel­lo, Del­phine de Vigan, Mick­haël Hers, Garance Mar­il­li­er, Fatou N’Diaye, Denis Poda­ly­dès, Mar­cia Romano et Sebas­t­iAn, who all set foot on Deauville’s red car­pet for the first time. The Pres­i­dent of the Rev­e­la­tion Jury, Clé­mence Poésy, was also present for the cer­e­mo­ny accom­pa­nied by her jury: Céleste Brun­nquell, India Hair, Lomepal and Kacey Mot­tet Klein.

The Fes­ti­val Direc­tor, Bruno Barde, declared open the 47^th Deauville Amer­i­can Film Fes­ti­val. « The Art that brings us togeth­er tonight mir­rors our lives: Made up of black and white, of bright­ness and shad­ows, of dark despair and blind­ing light, trav­el­ling shots, coun­ter­shots, off-cam­era shots, par­ti­tions and moments of silence ».
