Synopsis

A Ger­man stu­dent arrives in the New Mex­i­co desert for a year abroad. She thought she would find the Amer­i­ca of her dreams. Instead, she dis­cov­ers a coun­try in tur­moil, a frag­ile love, and the truth that every gen­er­a­tion even­tu­al­ly faces: the world we’re promised is nev­er the one we find.
