Adrien Dénouette

Doc­u­men­tary film­mak­er, crit­ic, lec­tur­er and teacher, Adrien Dénou­ette is the author of “Jim Car­rey, Amer­i­ca Unmasked”, which he adapt­ed into an Arte doc­u­men­tary, co-direct­ed with Thibaut Sève. The film is pre­sent­ed at Deauville in 2021. The fol­low­ing year, he direct­ed Brad Pitt: More Than a Pret­ty Face, anoth­er archive-based doc­u­men­tary. In 2023, he pub­lished his sec­ond essay, “Nik ta race, une his­toire du rire en France”, explor­ing the place of laugh­ter in French cul­tur­al circles.
